About Eli

Whether you're trying to find your voice on the page or find your footing in your career, the work is the same: getting honest about who you are and what you're building.

Will we be a good fit?

Two things I hear most from clients about what makes our work together meaningful:

I stay with the hard parts. I don't rush toward tidy answers or easy reframes. I'm trained to sit with complexity and I bring that same steadiness whether we're working on a manuscript or a career pivot.

I work from the inside out. My approach is grounded in values, identity, and what actually matters to you -- not external metrics or one-size-fits-all advice. The best writing and the best career moves come from the same place: knowing yourself clearly enough to act from it.

I work best with people who are ready to go deeper than surface fixes and willing to do the real work of figuring out what they want and why.

More about my background:

I hold a BA from Beloit College in Creative Writing, Anthropology, and Critical Identity Studies, and I'm completing an MA in Integral Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). I am a Certified Complex Trauma Professional (CCTP-II) and a Writing and Scholarship Fellow at CIIS, where I support graduate writers across disciplines.

I've been a published poet since 2017 and have spent nearly a decade in People Operations and HR, helping individuals and organizations navigate transitions, build culture, and clarify what they stand for. Candid Coaching brings those threads together.

I live in Reno, Nevada, run marathons, and am a longtime member of the Zendo Project, providing harm reduction support at Burning Man.
